Association president believes him and keeps a good relationship with him and hides his identity and blocks public info on him as a courtesy. The association is poor public organisation vs the rich private guilds can't compete money wise so the association presidents tries to sweeten the deal with lots of privileges - MC refuses because he doesn't want a desk job, he needs to fight in dungeons (to level up). He then summons a shadow and is classed as a "Mage Type". He is told to come back in 3 days for a confirmation test - this is later revealed as totally unnecessary but a tactic the association uses to try and win over Hunters.
He then heads to Hunter's Association and when retested is S class - defined as someone whose power can't be measured.
MC comes back from the devil dungeon with 2/3 ingredients for the cure for his mother.
